House of Elliot

COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL

When clients become family.

I was initially referred by another lovely client of mine to House of Elliot – a boutique interior design and styling studio in the heart of Newcastle city. Not only were we asked to repaint the storefront exterior and interior downstairs, but owner Tina’s industrial-chic loft above.

The photos speak for themselves – a truly beautiful space testament to Newcastle’s heritage. Designed and styled by House of Elliot, the owners are as lovely as the space we painted.

For the store downstairs, preparation involved filling and gapping all holes and cracks. All surfaces were sanded prior to applying paint.

The ever-changing nature of House of Elliot means our work is never truly finished. With new inspirations arriving daily, Painting by Josh provides the backdrop to create such an amazing atmosphere.

  • Two coats of premium Dulux Wash and Wear tinted to Taubmans Love Note (off-white) in Low Sheen for all main walls
  • Two coats of premium Dulux Wash and Wear tinted to ever-changing colours in Low Sheen for all feature walls

House of Elliot wanted to create an attractive facade to draw potential clients into the store.

We created a simple palette of a black and white backdrop to emphasise the bold green, which is core to House of Elliot’s branding.

  • Two coats of premium Dulux Weathershield Venus Fly Trap (bright green) in Low Sheen for lettering backdrop and front door
  • Two coats of premium Dulux Weathershield Lexicon Quarter (white) and Colorbond Nightsky (black) in Low Sheen for brick and aluminium window surroundings.

After completing the project, Tina and the team at House of Elliot have truly become family to us. I am always grateful for the opportunity we’ve been given to transform this space into the beautiful store it is today, and will be tomorrow. \

After seeing my standard of workmanship, we have since repainted Tina’s high-end converted loft above the store. The industrial-chic space is truly incredible.

Preparation involved filling and gapping all holes and cracks. All surfaces were sanded prior to applying paint.

  • Two coats of premium Dulux Wash and Wear tinted to Taubmans Love Note (off-white) in Low Sheen for all main walls

The loft is a continuing work in progress, keep your eyes on the blog for more photos to be posted soon!
